A Wirral woman has shared her story of living with lung cancer in support of a new awareness campaign.
Chris Jones, 68, was diagnosed with the disease in 2025 after visiting her GP with a persistent dry cough and unexplained weight loss.
She is now supporting North West Cancer Research’s new lung cancer campaign, "In Plain Sight," which aims to raise awareness of the condition across the region.
The campaign highlights that lung cancer is 25 per cent more common in the North West than the rest of England, rising to 54 per cent higher in the Liverpool City Region.
Chris said a cancer diagnosis “changes your life completely. It also changes your outlook on life”.
