The campaigns are finalists in the Prolific North Creative Awards, which champion creative and digital sectors across the North of England.
CMCA’s campaign to promote bowel screening – A Tiny Bit Of Poo Can Be Lifesaving For You – has been shortlisted in the Creative For Good Award, with Hitch Marketing, the digital marketing agency which devised the campaign that ran last year and in April this year.
Our Two Minutes of Chat and an Early Screening project has been shortlisted in the Healthcare Campaign section with Vivid Everywhere, the digital marketing agency CMCA partnered with.
This campaign launched last summer and featured the stars of the cult BBC sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. It ran across Halton, where the comedy series was set, and is due to be revived this month and in July for other areas of Cheshire and Merseyside.
Two Pints actors Ralf Little and Will Mellor starred in videos and other publicity material for the campaign that also featured local people talking about cancer screening and reducing the fear of cancer. The campaign has already picked up one regional award and one national award.
CMCA Campaigns Development Manager Eluned Hughes said: “Both of these campaigns have been well received by the public and have shown to resonate with them. It is great to see they are being recognised in this way.
“A big thank-you to Vivid Everywhere and Hitch Marketing for their fresh approach to NHS health messaging, which has been acknowledged in being shortlisted for these prestigious awards.”
The winning entries will be revealed at an awards ceremony in Manchester on June 25th.
