It is Melanoma Awareness Month, when people focus on this type of skin cancer - 90% of which are preventable, and health professionals and Sefton Council are warning people to take precautions in the heat.
With temperatures up to 25 degrees Celsius forecast, people are being reminded to be aware of the risks of hot weather and to take extra care of themselves and others.
