The delegation included senior leaders from Peru’s National Cancer Institute (Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas – INEN), alongside representatives from the British Embassy in Lima.

The visit provided an opportunity for both organisations to exchange knowledge, explore best practice, and identify areas for future collaboration.

Delegates met with Alder Hey’s executive leadership team before taking part in a detailed programme designed to showcase the Trust’s approach to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care.

Both organisations share a common ambition to improve outcomes and experiences for children with cancer, while continuing to innovate in how services are designed and delivered.

During their time in Liverpool, the Peruvian delegation participated in a series of guided tours across Alder Hey’s specialist facilities.
