Filming has taken place for an exciting new educational platform which will be launched next year by Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance.

In the video, Jon Hayes, Managing Director of CMCA, explains why the Alliance is investing in the cancer education programme, which will be available free for all healthcare professionals.

The programme will also include learning resources for Cancer Support Workers across Cheshire and Merseyside and in the film, Dr Clare Byrne, Deputy Director of Nursing for Cancer Services at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, describes how CSWs have become vital members of the cancer healthcare team.

Rosie Forrest, a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Whiston Hospital, echoed those views in the video, she told us how she couldn’t do without the Cancer Support Workers. They have become an integral part of the team in providing excellent patient care.

Jon Hayes said: “It was great to meet other health professionals who were keen to help with the promotional film for our new educational platform.

“It is a really exciting project and we will be announcing more details in the coming weeks.”
