CMCA Cancer Roadshow flyer.jpgPeople across Cheshire and Merseyside can have their say about cancer services, support and care at a series of roadshows over the coming weeks.

Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance (CMCA) will be meeting the public at pop-up events throughout the region, asking people of their experiences of cancer, so that they can influence how services and care are designed and delivered in the future.

People will also be asked if they want to become involved with the Alliance as a patient or carer representative. They will help us improve cancer services and care by becoming involved in one or more of the many opportunities available to champion the views of patients and carers.

The Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance roadshows, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, are running from next week (May 10th) until the beginning of July, with sites at 10 central venues across the region.

Jo Trask, CMCA Health Inequalities and Patient Experience Lead, said: “We want to hear the views of local people about cancer services in their area. We also want to listen to their experiences of their support and care.

“CMCA is an NHS organisation that brings together clinicians, the public and community organisations to deliver transformational projects and improve cancer services across the region.

“We design cancer services and we want local people to have more say in how these services are designed and delivered.”

The roadshows will also offer advice and information on cancer services and can direct people to further support and help.

Jo added: “If you, or someone you know, has been affected by cancer, please feel free to stop by and talk to us.”
