wirral .jpgA Wirral man is undertaking a charity walk next week to raise money for the specialist hospital which has been treating him for cancer.

Stephen Clewlow – who is terminally ill with liver cancer – will take part in the Glow Green Night Walk in Liverpool city centre for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

Last year, after noticing a change in his sight and a routine visit to his local optician, Stephen was diagnosed with a rare type of eye cancer called Uveal Melanoma.

After successfully undergoing surgery, the 61-year-old discovered the cancer had spread to his liver.

Stephen, pictured with his family, was referred to The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, one of only four centres in the UK that specialises in treating his type of cancer.

The father of two will be doing the walk with his wife, Emily, and hundreds of other people on World Cancer Day, February 4th, through Liverpool when buildings will be lit up green.

You can read his story here.

To sign up for the walk, see the charity’s website here.
