A myeloma patient has spoken about his treatment and the support group he formed to help others with the plasma cell cancer.
David Simister, from Southport, was diagnosed with myeloma in 2013 and had radiotherapy at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre as part of his initial treatment. Myeloma (plasma cell cancer) can be treated but is generally not curable.
David used Myelmoa Awareness Week to talk about his experiences and what has helped him in a video.

Formed in January 2016, it is a friendly and supportive group for patients, carers and all those affected by myeloma. It meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 2pm.
The support group is very informal and based around coffee and chat. During the year, it provides regular feedback on myeloma-related activities, have occasional invited speakers and raise funds.
