A radio presenter from Merseyside has shared her experience of being treated for cancer and urges people to get any symptoms checked out.
Former I’m a Celebrity… star Adele Roberts, a BBC Radio 1 DJ, who is from Southport, is being treated for bowel cancer and admitted that she initially put off having signs of the disease checked out.
She is now being given chemotherapy after having surgery to remove a tumour in October.
Adele, 42, said: “I didn't realise I could get cancer. I know that sounds silly because I know now it can happen to anyone at any age,” she said.
