Graeme_Brooks.jpgMovember is the month where men’s health issues are highlighted, especially male cancers.

It is a time when awareness is raised of cancers affecting men, including prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

But did you know that men can also get breast cancer?

When Clatterbridge patient and GP surgery nurse Graeme Brooks, pictured, found a small bump in his chest in early 2016, the last thing he expected was that he had breast cancer.

“It was a total shock,” he said. “Even though I’m a nurse myself, I’d never come across a man with breast cancer – only women.”

Graeme, 62, from central Liverpool, is telling his story to help other men and to encourage them to get any chest lumps or other symptoms checked out.
