The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre (CCC) is a specialist cancer centre in the UK serving a population of 2.4 million across Cheshire and Merseyside.

With 1,500 specialist staff, it is one of the largest NHS providers of non-surgical cancer treatment and it is consistently rated as one of the best performing hospitals in the Care Quality Commission’s national inpatient survey.

It cares for over 35,000 patients per year and manages in excess of 250,000 patient contacts at its three main hub sites and 17 outpatient sites across the region. Last June it opened a new state-of-the-art hospital in Liverpool as part of a £162m investment to transform cancer care in Cheshire and Merseyside. As part of this, it is also be refurbishing its Wirral site.

Being a Governor at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre provides an opportunity to play a pivotal role in influencing how decisions are made and how services are developed, to have your voice heard and represent the views of others.

Cancer affects 1 in 2 people, so each and every one of us will be touched by it in some way.

CCC is now holding elections in the following public constituencies:

  • Cheshire West & Chester - 1 seat
  • Sefton - 1 seat
  • Wirral & the rest of England - 2 seats
