The SHE – Sisterhood Health Empowerment event in Liverpool is aimed at women and families from diverse communities with a focus on:

  • providing accessible information and resources on healthy lifestyles and wellbeing
  • promoting cancer preventative diets and behaviours
  • raising awareness about the signs and symptoms of cancer and the importance of early detection
  • encouraging attendance of cancer screening appointments.

As part of a Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance-funded project, Liverpool CVS is organising the event on Saturday, January 20th with Acronym Enterprises (ACE) and members of the community.

A variety of stallholders and community-based services and traders will come together at Belvedere GDST Academy at Princes Park to put talking about cancer awareness firmly on the agenda as well as providing practical advice, health checks and demonstrations of how people can take better care of bodies and minds.

The event is from 1pm to 5pm at the Academy, 17 Belvidere Road, Princes Park, Liverpool L8 3TF.
