Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance has produced a video explaining its role and vision – and how it is improving cancer services, care and outcomes.
The four-minute film gives an overview of how the Alliance is working with organisations across healthcare and beyond in its goal as a leader and partner to deliver the NHS national cancer strategy across Merseyside and Cheshire.
The Alliance worked with Liverpool-based company, The Guide, to produce the video, which is now on CMCA’s YouTube channel.
Jon Hayes, Managing Director of the Alliance said: “We are aware that as a relatively new organisation, there may be some organisations and individuals who would like to have an overview of the Alliance and learn more about us.
“This is important as we are increasingly working with many more local, voluntary and community organisations to spread awareness of cancer to ensure it is diagnosed earlier, and to reduce inequalities in cancer treatment and care across Cheshire & Merseyside.
“The video includes one of our patient ambassadors, who has helped us to raise the understanding of cancer in the community, and brings together strands of all our work streams, from prevention and early diagnosis, through improving diagnostic services, supporting the cancer workforce, enhancing personalised care, and on to our focus on patient experience, health inequalities and public engagement.”
