Alliance Facebook front page.jpgCMCA has launched a Facebook page, with the aim to reach even more people with our information about cancer services and to increase awareness of all aspects of the disease.

The page – @CheshireMerseysideCancerAlliance – complements the Alliance’s existing social media channels of Twitter, Linkedin and YouTube.

It is hoped that posts by organisations involved with cancer across Cheshire and Merseyside can be shared by the page, amplifying the messages to a wider audience.

Paul Ogden, CMCA Communications Manager, said: “Facebook is the UK’s biggest social media channel and is continuing to grow in popularity with older people across communities in our region.

“The Alliance's Facebook page will be another useful way to extend the reach of our communications, giving people information they need on services, care and treatment – and hopefully raise more awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer so people can be treated easier and more successfully.

“There are some wonderful organisations involved with cancer across the region which are doing a fantastic job and we want to reflect what they do on our page, too.

“So please Like or Follow the page and contribute with your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.”
